“…Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with the molecular weight between 89,000 and 98,000 g/mol, boric acid and titanium dioxide (TiO 2 , anatase, <25 nm) were obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (Munich, Germany). Pure PVB, which did not contain the photocatalyst nanoparticles, was synthesized through the condensation reaction of PVA and boric acid according to the procedure given in the literature [4].
