Philosophical-Pedagogical Potential of Virtual Museums of “Memory Spaces”

Abstract

The study aims to analyse the philosophical-pedagogical potential of virtual museums of historic sites as transmitters of cultural values. Employment of mathematical modelling methods, source studies and pedagogical research during executing a digital museum project suggests the interdisciplinary approach, which accounts for theoretical and practical scientific novelty of the research. It was found that the philosophical-pedagogical potential of virtual museums is explained by evolutional specifics of the phenomenon itself: from N. F. Fedorov's conception of "real museum" to postmodernist museological theories.
