Abstract:BackgroundIncreased numbers of cases ofCorynebacterium diphtheriaeinfections were diagnosed in migrant-related facilities of Europe since summer 2022. Most cases involved cutaneous diphtheria, although some respiratory cases and fatalities were reported.
