Phenomenology of 2HDM with vectorlike quarks

Abstract: In this paper, we examine the consistency of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data collected during Runs 1 and 2 by the ATLAS and CMS experiments with the predictions of a 2-Higgs doublet model embedding vectorlike quarks (VLQs) for pp → H, A production and H, A → γγ decay mechanisms, respectively, of (nearly) degenerate CP-even (H) and CP-odd (A) Higgs bosons. We show that a scenario containing one single VLQ with electromagnetic charge 2=3 can explain the above ATLAS and CMS data for masses in the region 350 … Show more

“…Because of B → X s γ constraints, the profile of a charged Higgs in the 2HDM Type-II and -Y is a rather heavy one, with a mass required to be more than 580 GeV. While this puts an obvious limit to LHC sensitivity owing to a large phase space suppression in production, we have emphasised that H ± → bbW ± channels should be searched for, with intermediate contributions from the AW ± and tb modes (including their interference [110]), alongside H ± → τ ν. In the case of the 2HDM Type-I and -X, a much lighter charged Higgs state is still allowed by data, in fact, even with a mass below that of the top quark.…”

“…3.3), it can depend on the CKM matrix at the GUT scale [596]. LFV contributions can also arise in SUSY models where R-parity is violated, explicitly or spontaneously, with interaction terms of the type l i l jνk that induce tree-level contributions to l → lll decays and µ → e conversion, as well as new dipole contributions to l → lγ [613][614][615][616][617].…”

“…is subject to interference effects with H ± → bt * → bbW ±( * ) and significant background from tt production and decay [32][33][34], we are induced to elect as tentative signal in our analysis the case of τ final states. Furthermore, in the bottom-left frame of Fig.1, we demonstrate that the bosonic decays of the charged Higgs boson, BR(H ± → h 0 /A 0 W ±( * ) ), could become the dominant ones, even reaching 100% in some cases (see also [16]).…”
