Phase stabilization in cinnarizine complexes using X-ray profile analysis

Abstract: Characterization of cobalt(II), cadmium(II), copper(II) and tin(II) cinnarizine complexes have been carried out using conductivity, electronic spectra, infrared, nmr, thermogravimetric and Xray analyses to establish the nature of phase stabilization in these materials. Also, the intrinsic strain components present in these materials during the formation have been computed using wide-angle X-ray scattering analysis. The variation of the crystallite shape ellipsoid in these materials has been discussed on the ba… Show more

“…On other hand, compounds with acetamide linkage exhibit variety of applications, which are well documented. The Lewis acid property of acetamides renders them useful as analytical reagents and in the preparation of a number of coordination complexes [24]. The acetamide functional group is responsible for antimicrobial [25, 26], antioxidant [27, 28], narcolepsy treatment [29], anti-inflammatory [30, 31], platelet aggregation inhibitory [32], and urease inhibitory activities [33].…”
