Phase-lock-loop A/D converter

Abstract: A HIGH ACCURACY A/D converter that can be integrated into one monolithic chip has been devised. Utilized is a VCO phaselocked to a submultiple, M, of the system clock frequency, F , to convert the input/reference voltage ratio into a variable duty cycle, D, pulse waveform. D is measured using a counter and the clock. Accuracy depends upon the ratio of two resistors and resolution upon M.
