Phase-error-compensation-based surface recovery algorithm using spectrum selection for white light interferometry

Abstract: White light interferometry is a well-established surface recovery technique. In this paper, a white light signal processing algorithm based on phase error compensation using spectrum selection is proposed. The derived nonlinear phase distribution from the correlogram is modeled as the combination of random errors and systemic deviations. By developing a new, to the best of our knowledge, recovery algorithm, the phase noise can be separated from the linear map and significantl… Show more

“…Meanwhile, some algorithms are proposed to eliminate the phase error directly from the WLIS that do not require the complex system. For instance, the surface recovery algorithms established by analyzing the phase distribution in wavenumber domain are used to improve the measurement accuracy and robustness [17,18]. The other algorithm uses the interference signals obtained from two adjacent measurement points to give a robust estimation of measurement result which are immune to the disturbances of vibrational excitation from environment, or local variations of the refractive index of the medium caused by turbulence due to strong temperature variations [19].…”

“…The space group pedigree of bredigite results in Pmnn → Pnn2, caused by the tetrahedral's leaning. This would decrease the symmetrical mechanic to Pnn2 (Ma et al, 2021;Qin, Shi, and Leon, 2020).…”
