Phase Diagrams of the Ce-Si-Zr Ternary System at 773 and 1173 K

Abstract: The phase equilibria of the Ce-Si-Zr ternary system at both 773 and 1173 K have been investigated by means of powder x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The existence of 11 binary compounds, Ce was confirmed. No ternary compounds were observed. Both isothermal sections consist of 14 single-phase regions, 25 twophase regions, and 12 three-phase regions.
