Abstract:Mycophenolic acid (MPA) inhibits IMPDH, involved in the guanosine nucleotides synthesis, and prevents DNA replication in immune cells. The repression of cell and humoral immunity by MPA induces allograft tolerance preventing acute rejection in solid organ transplantation.
