Petrographie Des Volcanites Et Plutonites De La Partie Sud Du Sillon Volcano-Sedimentaire De Toumodi-Fetekro (Cote D’ivoire)

Abstract: The southern part of Toumodi-Fètêkro greenstone belt is located in the Center -Southeast of Ivory Coast. Petrographic study of volcanic and plutonic rocks shows three units. The first unit is composed of basaltic to rhyolitic lavas which imply effusive character. Then we have volcanosedimentary unit composed of pyroclastic formations (lapilli tuff, breccia, ash deposit and ignimbrites) and the pillow-lavas. Indeed, the presence of this last shows clearly that an explosive volcanism and a submarine effusive vol… Show more

“…These metamorphism conditions were described by [6] [38] [40] and [41]. The rocks studied indicate that the lithostratigraphy of the south of the Bui furrow is similar to that of most of the volcano-sedimentary furrows of the Baoulé-Mossi domain, except for the presence of granitoids in our analyzed samples " [6] [19]…”

“…One of these captivating regions is Toumodi, located in the southern part of the West African Craton and belonging to the Paleoproterozoic domain. The diversity of rock formations is truly impressive [1] [2] [3], and the succession of geological events shapes their structure in a complex way [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]. In addition to these remarks, what distinguishes this context above all is the vast range of mineralization systems [2] [3] [5].…”

“…An active and commercial fishing was established on the lake with firstly, the arrival of foreign fishers and secondly, the new interest of ivorian in this activity due to the economic crisis, to the unemployment and the decrease of the cocoa and coffee price. The great success of this activity caused the decrease of catches (Vanga, 2001) and even brought about conflicts between ivorian and non-ivorian fishermen (Inza, 2008;Aboya, 2014). The work on the artisanal fishing site of Dioulabougou in the area of Bouaflé (Marahoué region), is an experimental diagnostic study of a fishing area which analysis will permit to know the artisanal fishing exploitation system on Kossou lake for a sustainable management of fishing resources.…”
