Petrographic and geochemical characteristics associated with felsic xenolith assimilation in kimberlite

Abstract: Assimilation of country rock xenoliths by the host kimberlite can result in the development of concentric reaction zones within the xenoliths and a reaction halo in the surrounding contaminated kimberlite.
