Pesticides Detection Using Acetylcholinesterase Nanobiosensor

Abstract: Pesticides are chemical substances used for crop improvement and these substances when degraded leave behind certain toxic residues which can be detected using nano biosensors which are relatively inexpensive, does not require sample pre-treatment and provides sensitive screening. The application of nanobiosensors for detection of organophosphates using acetylcholinesterase is introduced in detail. Future prospects toward the development of selective, sensitive biosensing systems are discussed.
