Abstract:Os carrapatos provocam muitos prejuízos à saúde dos animais, humanos e ao agronegócio. Algumas espécies do gênero Amblyomma são vetores do agente causador da Febre Maculosa Brasileira, uma zoonose e um grande problema de saúde pública. Já o carrapato da espécie Rhipicephalus sanguineus, caracteriza-se por acometer animais de sangue quente.
