Abstract:An ongoing global shortage of verteporfin (Visudyne ® ) limits the treatment possibilities for several chorioretinal diseases, including central serous chorioretinopathy, choroidal hemangioma, and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy.Verteporfin is required to perform photodynamic therapy in these ocular diseases.
