Abstract: In 2020–2022, infectious diseases were the major causes of infection and death globally. Many viral and bacterial diseases are starting to emerge/reemerge frequently. The zoonotic infections were reported to be dominant in a few decades. Now the holistic one-health approach is the need of the hour to tackle the emerging and reemerging pathogens by extensive and heedless use of antimicrobials, lack of novel antimicrobials, and unavailability of appropriate vaccines increased the severity of pathogens.
