Циљ рада је био сагледавање интензитета и структуре мотивације за учење код студената Универзитета у Приштини, са привременим седиштем у Косовској Митровици, као и као и утврђивање разлике у интензитету интринзичне и екстринзичне мотивације код студената различитих факултета. Осим тога, полазећи од Теорије самоодређења Дисија и Рајана, проучавана је и структура мотивације за учење у два социокултурна подручја: Србије и Хрватске. Истраживање је спроведено током летњег семестра 2017. године у просторијама пет факултета. За испитивање мотивације за учење коришћена је Томас-Милерова скала. Најинтензивнији појединачни мотиватор за учење је «Учим, јер ћу моћи добити/пронаћи бољи посао» и израженије је присуство интринзичног фактора мотивације за учење. Резултати истраживања показују да се сви мотиватори разврставају у два фактора, интринзичне и екстринзичне мотивације, и објашњавају 51.40% варијансе посматраног простора мерења. У нашем истраживању добијена је другачија структура фактора, у односу на резултате истраживања у Хрватској. Мотиватори „... јер једноставно морам“ и „… јер ћу моћи добити/пронаћи бољи посао“ су заменили припадност, у односу на структуру фактора која је добијена на Хрватском узорку испитаника. Oба посматрана фактора мотивације за учење су најинтензивнија код студената Медицинског факултета. Студенти осталих факултета се у интензитету оба фактора мотивације статистички значајно не разликују.
