Abstract:Person re-identification is an important and challenging computer vision problem. Recent progress in this area is due to new visual features and models that deals with crossview variations. Instead of working towards more complex models, we focus on low level features and their encoding. Low level features capturing the color and structural information are first extracted from human images. Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) is then employed to approximate the distribution of the features, providing a relatively com… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
