An T. N. Rasmussen,
Stevo Duvnjak

Abstract: Persistent sciatic artery (PSA) is a rare embryologic remnant of the internal iliac artery variant with an estimated incidence of 0.03-0.06 %. Aneurysmatic formation can give rise to neurological sciatic nerve compression symptoms or thromboembolic and ischemic symptoms. The present is a case with recurrent thromboembolic symptoms and PSA aneurysm, successfully treated endovascularly.
