Persepsi Remaja Dengan Kedua Orang Tua Yang Bekerja Mengenai Keberfungsian Keluarga

Abstract

Family is an environment that has a big role in the development of individuals. Adolescents are individuals who are undergoing a transition period in various aspects of life. The role of the family in the process of adolescent development can be seen from the functioning of the family. This study aims to explore adolescent perceptions with both working parents regarding the functioning of their families. The research method used is qualitative method. Respondents in this study were 5 adolescents aged 14-16 years obtained through convenience sampling. In this study, data were collected using semi-structured interview techniques. Interview data in the form of audio was transcribed and analyzed using facilities in Ms. Word including notes and highlights features. The results obtained in this study were that adolescents perceived the positive and negative impacts of both working parents on the functioning of their families. Positive impacts are related to the needs met, while the negative impact is related to the limited time that parents have as well as the negative mood spillover condition in parents. The results of this study can provide information about what efforts can be made by both working parents so that they can continue to carry out their roles in parenting.
