Abstract: Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park (Tahura WAR) is one of a forest area located on Register 19 Lampung. Based on literature and research results in Tahura WAR, there had not been many reports of people perceptions for the agroforestry management, so it is necessary to conduct research to determine people involvement in forest management with agroforestry cropping patterns. “…More detailed information on farmers' social conditions is shown in Table 1. Agroforestry farmers around Tahura WAR are dominated by men, which is similar to conditions in other places in Lampung, elsewhere in Indonesia, and several other countries (Desalgne et al 2022;Fauziyah 2018;Gebrehiwot et al 2018;Kalanzi et al 2020;Manginsela et al 2021;Susanti et al 2021). The age of agroforestry farmers around Tahura WAR is also dominated by the older farmers, with a few young farmers (≤ 30 years), that was similar to several areas in Indonesia and other countries (Burano and Siska 2019;Dewi et al 2021;Pujiono et al 2021;Rozaki et al 2021;Sauvadet et al 2020).…”

“…Previous studies have indicated that some tubers, such as canna (C. edulis) [78], arrowroot (M. arundinacea) [79], and yam (D. esculenta) [80], are economically feasible to cultivate [78][79][80]. In Indonesia, farmers' perceptions of the benefits of agroforestry practices are varied: some are high, e.g., in Wonosobo, Central Java [81], and Malang, East Java [82,83], while others are low, e.g., in Lampung [84,85] and Ciamis, West Java [86]. In Lampung, people's perceptions of agroforestry management were found to be low because only a few of the farmers understood the benefits of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) [85].…”

“…The implementation of mechanical conservation is based on the results of research, one of which is carried out by using activities to create soil through existing terraces or parking lots so that plants are more fertile and fallen leaves become natural fertilizer for plants. Apart from that, plant maintenance is also carried out through mechanical controls (18). Of course, we still pay attention to ecological and environmental principles, such as making drainage, building retaining loose material for plants, and making terracing traps for plants.…”
