Ecotherapy healing forest (EHF) is a new approach that utilizes forest resources for health and increasing ecosystem value. EHF is an alternative that functions to provide physical and mental health interventions by utilizing the environment and forest ecosystem. Ecotherapy healing forest can also help ensure that environmental conditions can always be maintained, so that people's health and welfare can improve, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research was conducted in the area of Mount Kelam National Tourism Park, Sintang Regency, with data collection time in August 2022 -January 2023. Location selection is determined purposively by considering accessibility, travel time, and location value. The method used uses a site identification approach carried out on the routes available at NTP. The suitability of the Mount Kelam NTP location as a new EHT location was carried out by taking measurements at 6 location points covering an area approximately 8 ha, including measurements of vegetation, microclimate, noise level, wind speed and negative ion content. Based on the results of the analysis of site identification, community perceptions and preferences, site carrying capacity, and thermal comfort, the Mount Kelam Sintang Natural Tourism Park conservation area is very representative of being a site of ecotherapy healing forest which is beneficial for health. The final results of this research are described in the form of design recommendations for the site of ecotherapy healing forest at the six observation points.

This research is aimed at students who are currently experiencing excessive coursework and high emotional stress after COVID-19. Where if these conditions are not immediately addressed, it can cause mental illness. The Ecotherapy Healing Forest program offers several activities in it, such as relaxation programs to relieve stress, walks in the forest, and sensory elements to be given to the participants. In this study, 44 student participants were used from class 2018 – class 2021 at Kapuas Sintang University. Participants will be measured their blood sugar levels and oxygen saturation by medical personnel, and given the DASS 42 questionnaire to measure participants’ stress levels. Measurements will be accrued out 5 repetitions of the Ecotherapy Healing Forest program at different times. The results of this study revealed that there was a significant decrease in blood sugar levels, oxygen saturation and stress levels in the participants after participating in the Ecotherapy Healing Forest program. However, for smoking students, the Ecotherapy Healing Forest treatment does not have a significant effect on oxygen saturation values. Therefore, the authors propose Ecotherapy Healing Forest as a non-pharmacological intervention to relieve stress while improving physical health (blood sugar levels and oxygen saturation) for students.

In urban communities, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused psychological and mental disorders. Health workers are most affected and vulnerable to psychological disorders, especially those working at Covid-19 referral hospitals such as the Ahmad Yani Hospital. As a result, psychological therapy facilities or media that can improve the psychological health of health workers are needed. The research aimed to determine the urgency and need for healing gardens among health workers, to know about health workers' perceptions and preferences regarding healing garden design, and make recommendations on criteria and design concepts for healing gardens in the Ahmad Yani Hospital area. The study's methods included the distribution of questionnaires and interviews. Descriptive analysis with crosstabulation and frequency techniques is used. A healing garden in the Ahmad Yani Hospital area is regarded as necessary as a psychological therapy medium for improving the psychological health of health workers. During the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospital environment, 97.3% of participants said they needed a green open space that functions as a relaxation area to improve psychological health, and 94.6% said they needed a healing garden. Colour parameters, materials, concepts, space, plants, plant strata, plant functions, facilities, areas/locations, and healing garden criteria are all preferences for health workers. Health workers' preferences for healing garden design are generally relatively consistent across gender and age groups. A nature-oriented healing garden design is the recommended healing garden design for the Ahmad Yani Hospital area (biophilic design).
