“…In Eurasia, Mesozoic osmundaceous rhizomes are known from three regions: eastern India (Rajmahal Hills), NE China, and southern Sweden (Tidwell & Ash, 1994; Tian et al, 2008; Bomfleur et al, 2015, 2017). To date, 15 species in four genera ( Claytosmunda , Millerocaulis , Osmundastrum , and possibly Leptopteris ) have been described from these localities (Mittre, 1955; Gupta, 1968, 1970; Sharma, 1973; Wang, 1983; Zhang & Zheng, 1991; Tidwell, 1994; Matsumoto et al, 2006; Cheng & Li, 2007; Cheng et al, 2007; Cheng, 2011; Bomfleur et al, 2015, 2017; Tian et al, 2013, 2014a, 2014b, 2018a). Of these 15 species, nine were described from the Jurassic deposits of NE China (Wang, 1983; Zhang & Zheng, 1991; Cheng & Li, 2007; Cheng et al, 2007; Cheng, 2011; Tian et al, 2013, 2014a, 2014b, 2018a).…”
