Permanganate Oxidation of Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) Recycle Collection Tank (RCT) Simulants Larger Scale Protocol Runs - Chemical Process Cell (CPC) Nominal and Foamover Conditions

“…The simulant was prepared using reagent grade chemicals in distilled water and, in some cases, a SRAT sludge component was included. The SRAT sludge component (identified as SB9-NG) was made in Aiken County Technology Laboratory (ACTL) and information of its constituents can be found elsewhere [16]. The SRAT sludge product contributed 125 mg of glycolate per kg of solution with additional formate, oxalate and nitrate.…”
