Abstract:La cistitis gangrenosa es una enfermedad infecciosa extremadamente rara. Su etiología es multifactorial y el principal factor precipitante es la sobredistensión de la vejiga debida a obstrucción. La afección vesical varía desde necrosis de mucosa y submucosa hasta necrosis de toda la pared, que puede ocasionar peritonitis aguda.
