Abstract: Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a commonly encountered condition in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), especially among micro-preemies. Management of AKI is challenging in these micro-preemies and peritoneal dialysis (PD) is the preferred modality when medical treatment fails.
