Abstract:Peritoneal dialysis (PD)-associated peritonitis is linked to increased mortality rates and transfer to haemodialysis or PD discontinuation. Rare and emerging pathogens can pose challenges in management. We present the first case of PD peritonitis caused byElizabethkingia miricolathrough direct contamination, which was successfully treated with intraperitoneal and oral antibiotics.
