Peristaltic Pumping of Nanofluids through a Tapered Channel in a Porous Environment: Applications in Blood Flow

Abstract: In this study, we present an analytical study on blood flow analysis through with a tapered porous channel. The blood flow was driven by the peristaltic pumping. Thermal radiation effects were also taken into account. The convective and slip boundary conditions were also applied in this formulation. These conditions are very helpful to carry out the behavior of particle movement which may be utilized for cardiac surgery. The tapered porous channel had an unvarying wave speed with dissimilar amplitudes and phas… Show more

“…There are many engineering processes in which peristaltic pumps are used to handle a wider range of fluids, particularly in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This mechanism is also used in the transport of slurries, sanitary fluids, and noxious fluids in the nuclear industry [11][12][13]. Extensive analytical, numerical, and experimental studies have been undertaken involving such flows.…”

“…Coating with viscous liquids is usually present in very rich industrial trials, which allow the coating of particles under the shear forces exerted in a mixing device. A list of key investigations on peristaltic flows [22][23][24], multiphase flows [25][26][27][28][29], bubbly flows [30][31][32][33][34], coatings [35][36][37][38][39][40], elastic medium [41,42], and several other references are available, which provide a more in-depth understanding to the reader.…”
