Researchers with experience in both realms potentially introduce not only a certain sensitivity to assuage said tensions but also insights and an awareness for establishing conversations that provide room to illuminate and interrogate the practices and normative beliefs of work as it is understood within an organization, at a deeper and more constructive level through the knowledge they bring to the research situation and context (Císařová & Metykova, 2020; Kotišová, 2019b). When a newsroom is moved out of the city center and into a suburban location, many journalists viscerally experience losing a connection to the "hub of activity" they saw as central to their work (Císařová and Metykova 2020;Usher 2015). And of course, newsroom moves and newsroom closures create friction beyond the subjective experience of journalists, i.e., the friction that comes from more and more communities having no journalistic rhythms/routes at all.…”
