Perioperative anaphylaxis: when the allergological work-up goes negative

Abstract: Purpose of review Perioperative anaphylaxis (POA) is rare but is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Patients are referred to the allergist to identify the mechanism of the reaction, the causative agent and make recommendations regarding subsequent anaesthesia.
