Perinatal mental health services for mothers from ethnic minority and migrant backgrounds

Abstract: Perinatal mental health disorders are among the most common morbidities of the perinatal period with considerable adverse effects on mothers and their offspring. Members of ethnic minority groups, particularly those from migrant backgrounds, are at higher risk of developing mental illness with evidence of ongoing inequality in access to support.
