“…The neighbourhood operates in a clear sexualized and gendered manner, and the later it gets, the more sexualized it becomes. The exhilarating risk of taking drugs can be seen as performing male heterosexual identities (Butler, 2007) by associating a certain manhood to initiatory touristic experiences, facilitated by the physical and mental distance to daily norms (Chapuis, 2012).
