Performance testing in mountaineering

Abstract: Laboratory ergometry to exhaustion allows cardiopulmonal risk assessment for the prevention of health problems related to mountaineering. Moreover, exercise testing evaluates functional status, so permitting individualized training programs and evaluation of training effects.
