Abstract:Compared with planar-type solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), mono-block-layer build (MOLB)-type SOFCs have additional three-phase boundaries per unit volume, and their performance is severely limited by their longer current path. To resolve this issue, a vertical rib design, which was evaluated using a numerical method, was proposed. Compared with the conventional design, the power density for the vertical rib design increased by 12.32%. This is because the vertical rib design provides another short path for curr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
