Abstract:Elbow flexors (EF) and knee extensors (KE) have shown differences in performance fatigability and recovery of neuromuscular function after isometric and isotonic single-joint fatiguing contractions. However, dynamic multi-joint movements are more representative of real-world activities. The aim of the study was to assess central and peripheral mechanisms of fatigability after either arm-cranking or cycling. Ten physically-active men performed maximal incremental arm-cranking and cycling until task-failure. Max… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
