The Binuangeun Fish Landing Port (PPI) plays a significant role in driving fisheries activities for fishermen in the Binuangeun area, Lebak, Banten. Despite being the largest fishing port in the region, the facilities owned by PPI Binuangeun have not been optimally utilized. This study aimed to explore the problems associated with the underutilization of operational facilities at PPI Binuangeun. The quantitative research design was carried out by conducting observations and interviews and distributing questionnaires to relevant stakeholders who played a role in the utilization of facilities at PPI Binuangeun. This research seeks to identify problems, constraints, and expected strategies for optimizing the PPI Binuangeun. All the results are presented descriptively. The findings show that the ability of facilities to utilize dock capacity reached 81.8%, that of port ponds reached 89.9%, and that of fish auction sites reached 50%, indicating that the operational facilities at PPI Binuangeun are at an adequate level of feasibility, but their utilization is not optimal. Field findings showed that during 2015-2022, there was a periodic increase in the number of vessels of various sizes, including the number of vessels that docked. Fish production has also increased with an increase in the number of fishing vessels, fishing gear, number of fishermen, production, and production value. In line with this, the manager of PPI Binuangeun must improve the operational efficiency of the port, including optimizing the port's contribution to improving the fishing industry and the economy of the port. Strategic steps are taken to improve the performance and competitiveness of PPI Binuangeun in the future.

This study attempts to verify the linkage between the characteristics of fishers and the welfare of fishery household in Indonesia, which is explained by the surplus obtained by fishers. Based on the empirical results using multiple linear regression analysis, variables with significant impacts on improving the welfare of fishery household in Indonesia in both marine and inland open water fisheries are fishing gear, number of fishers, number of crew, salary, province, age, gender, education level, processed storage, transportation, and market target. Furthermore, the characteristics of fishers are divided into similarities and differences. Observed from the similarities, the main fishers play a prominent role to fulfill the daily needs of their families. Observed from the differences, fishers in marine fisheries prefer to use a boat with an inboard motor, prepare more funds, and require more crew members because they usually catch fish on long trips. On the other hand, fishers in inland open water fisheries prefer to use a boat without an inboard motor, prepare less funds, and require less crew members because they usually catch fish on short trips. The government needs to formulate effective, efficient, and targeted policies for the welfare of fishers. The findings suggest several policy recommendations related to the improvement of fishery household welfare in Indonesia, such as soft loan in the form of People’s Business Credit (KUR), storage facilities for a better supply chain, and revitalization of fish auction sites.

Fish catch is one of the indicators affecting the economic growth of coastal communities including the Ciparagejaya Village Community, fish catches recorded by the Fish Auction Place (TPI) vary every month, this is due to the unpredictable condition of the fish caught, for fishermen caught from sea fish are the main source of income, so a reference is needed to anticipate a decrease in fish catches in determining a strategy for sharing the results of savings that are deducted every day from fishermen's catches. The purpose of this study was to create a prediction model with the Linear Regression Algorithm and Support Vector Regression (SVR) from data recorded by TPI Ciparagejaya Village, the data consisting of 33 types of fish caught in 2021. The method used in this research is an analytical method using Linear Regression Algorithm and SVR. This research produces a Prediction Model which will be a reference in the process of calculating data accuracy values where in this study the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) method is used. Tests were carried out using Microsoft excel and python with the smallest RMSE value from Microsoft excel calculations of 0.577735, and from python calculations, the smallest RMSE value is 0.
