Performance-enhanced indoor MIMO-OFDM visible light communications using individual/joint CAZAC precoding techniques

Abstract: In this paper, efficient individual and joint constant amplitude zero auto-correlation (CAZAC) precoding schemes are proposed to improve the performance of an indoor multiple-input multiple-output–orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM)-based visible light communication (VLC) system. By considering the proposed precoding scheme, a 3 × 3 MIMO-OFDM VLC system with symmetrical and asymmetrical structure is set up, whose peak-to-average-power ra… Show more

“…Also, the analytical analysis of the throughput is presented for the rate‐less without Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) scheme and the classical Forward Error Correction (FEC) with the ARQ consideration scenarios. Therefore, the proposed technique aims to improve the MIMO systems error performance and enhance the system security through the different secret keys of the chaotic interleaving, changeable every transmitted packet [7]. Utilizing the erasure error control codes achieves improved the real‐time signal quality over the noisy and unreliable fixed and mobile communications channels.…”
