Abstract:Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax), standardized asIEEE 802.16d is a popular technology for broadband wireless communication system. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is the core of this technology.OFDMreduces Inter-symbol Interference (ISI) and hence improves system performance (i.e., Bit Error Rate (BER)). To improve system performance further error correction coding schemes have been included in WiMax. It is widely accepted thata coded system outperforms an uncodedsystem… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
