Performance Analysis of Massive MIMO-OFDM System Incorporated with Various Transforms for Image Communication in 5G Systems

Abstract: Modern-day applications of fifth-generation (5G) and sixth-generation (6G) systems require fast, efficient, and robust transmission of multimedia information over wireless communication medium for both mobile and fixed users. The hybrid amalgamation of massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) proves to be an impressive methodology for fulfilling the needs of 5G and 6G users. In this paper, the performance of the hybrid combination of massive MIMO and … Show more

“…Figure 1 depicts the block diagram of the conventional OFDM system, the only different here is that in addition to Fourier transforms, FrFT and DWT transforms are also shown both at transmitter side as well as receiver side [1]. At the transmitters side, the input data with first encoded by source coding technique which is then forwarded to the channel encoding block.…”

“…Nowadays a lot of communication systems and standards like long-term evolution (LTE), long-term evolution advanced (LTE-A), wireless fidelity (WiFi), digital video broadcasting (DVB), and digital audio broadcasting (DAB) employ multicarrier modulation (MCM) techniques, due to its ability to overcome the dangerous deteriorate in wireless multipath communication channels [1]. When it comes to the diverse MCM techniques, OFDM is the most popular technique among all for realizing an efficient and robust communication over mobile wireless telecommunication systems.…”

“…Prinsip kerja sistem OFDM, yakni membagi aliran data yang berkecepatan tinggi menjadi sederetan aliran data yang berkecepatan rendah dan setiap aliran membutuhkan bandwidth yang jauh lebih rendah dari bandwidth koheren channel sehingga dapat membuat informasi dalam OFDM tahan terhadap frekuensi selective fading [3]. Secara sederhana diagram blok sistem OFDM ditunjukkan Gambar 1 yang terdiri dari.…”
