Abstract:A load‐adaptive/TDMA multiple‐access communications system which serves to interconnect broad‐band multimedia packet streams is considered. In particular, the use of a satellite backbone communications link whose channels are dynamically assigned to network stations is investigated. Each station supports packetized voice and data message streams. Incoming streams to a station are statistically multiplexed by the station across the backbone channels currently allocated to this station. To enhance the multiplexi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
