“…For every half‐cycle of the sinusoidal supply voltage, one of the cores of the faulted phase gets unsaturated. Thus, the current limiting action of the SISFCL remains in effect 5 until the fault is removed from the network. Following the clearance of the short‐circuit fault, the decreasing magnitude of the AC line current results in the magnitude of the net fluxes flowing through the cores to return to their default values.…”
