Perforation of a vascular prosthesis by an eroded thoracic vertebral body

Abstract: A case of prosthetic graft rupture due to friction against the vertebral column, eroded by a previously repaired thoracic aortic aneurym, is described. Chiselling away the sharp bony edges of the eroded vertebrae, could have prevented this complication. To our knowledge, this complication has never been reported before.
