Objectives: analyze the level of resilience of family caregivers of children and adolescents hospitalized for cancer treatment and associated factors. Methods: cross-sectional study, carried out in 2018, with 62 family caregivers in a university hospital in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The instruments CDRisc-10-Br, SRQ20, PSS-14 and WHOQOL-Bref were used to measure resilience, minor psychological disorders, stress, and quality of life, respectively. Inferential statistics were used. Results: female caregivers, married, with one child and who practice some predominated religion. They were classified as having a moderate level of resilience (48.4%); with suspicion for minor psychological disorders (45%) and high level of stress (41%). In terms of quality of life, they were satisfied in the Physical, Psychological and Social Relations domains; and dissatisfied in the Environment domain. Conclusions: there were direct weak to moderate correlations between the level of resilience and quality of life and inversely with stress and minor psychological disorders.

Objetivo: mapear as produções científicas quanto aos impactos para a saúde da mulher mãe cuidadora de criança/adolescente com câncer. Método: revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada nas bases informatizadas da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS) em maio de 2020. A questão da pesquisa foi “Quais os impactos na saúde da mulher mãe cuidadora de criança/adolescente com câncer?”. Resultados: Foram encontrados 46 artigos investigando a saúde da mulher-mãe cuidadora de criança com câncer e com a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão foram selecionados 8 estudos. As mulheres-mães são as principais cuidadoras, o que acarreta na sobrecarga materna e no adoecimento expresso nas áreas: física, financeira, social, de informação, moral e emocional. Conclusão: A saúde da mãe-cuidadora é bastante afetada, sendo o adoecimento emocional o aspecto mais significativo. Essa é uma área de investigação ainda nova no cenário da enfermagem que precisa continuar avançando. Novas pesquisas precisam ser realizadas, em busca de um melhor entendimento acerca das necessidades dessa população.

Objective to analyze the relationship between resilience and associated factors (stress, minor psychiatric disorders and quality of life) of family caregivers with children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment. Method mixed methods research, with sequential explanatory strategy, carried out with family caregivers of children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment in a public hospital in the Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. Data collection took place from February to September 2018. The quantitative study was cross-sectional in nature, and the qualitative research was descriptive-exploratory. Participants included 62 family caregivers in the quantitative stage and 16 responded to semi-structured interviews. An instrument containing sociodemographic, economic, labor, health and resilience scales (CD-RISC-10-Br), minor psychiatric disorders (MPDs) (SRQ-20), quality of life (QOL) (WHOQO-Bref) and stress and semi-structured interview were applied. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for quantitative data and content analysis for qualitative data. Results family caregivers had a moderate level of resilience (48.4%); high level of perceived stress (41%); suspicion for MPDs (45%). They presented satisfaction in the physical Qol domains (67.7%); psychological (62.9%); personal relationships (61.3%), and dissatisfaction in the environment domain (75.8%). The interviews reported for health changes that could trigger MPD, stress and changes in quality of life. Conclusion high level of stress; suspicion for MPD and low QoL, with the environment, were evidenced as associated factors for a lower level of resilience of family caregivers. The need to develop actions that strengthen resilience was percieved, as caregivers were essential for the effectiveness of the care plan for children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment.
