Abstract: Introduction: Transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) hernioplasty is a common procedure for groin hernia repair. The peritoneal closure after mesh placement is recommended to avoid mesh exposure to the viscera with the risk of adhesions and bowel incarceration into peritoneal defects.
