“…Fourth, we used one type of ureteral stent. The type of ureteral stent may affect stent‐related symptoms; therefore, we standardized the stent type . However, we consider that we should also investigate the effect of ureteral stent diameter on urinary symptoms using other types of ureteral stents.…”

[25][26][27] However, we consider that we should also investigate the effect of ureteral stent diameter on urinary symptoms using other types of ureteral stents. Future studies should involve randomization and re-evaluation using the USSQ and standardize the stent indwelling time.…”

“…Stents augmented with metal wires, shaped into spiral design showed superior flow and drainage. 27 To overcome bladder irritation in patients with ureteric stents, loops of polymer were incorporated instead of the classical pigtail at the distal end of the double-J stents. It was thought that this new "tail stent" would decrease bladder irritation.…”

“…Chew and associates [91] recently reported on a new design concept for ureteral stents. They evaluated pain scores in 15 patients that had a Percuflex Helical™ stent inserted and compared them with a historical patient group, stented with a standard Percuflex™ stent (Boston Scientific, MA, USA).…”
