Perceptions of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Minority Adolescents About Labels

Abstract: Young peoples’ acceptance and use of nontraditional, descriptive identity labels (e.g., pansexual, genderqueer) require nurses to consider moving beyond use of traditional terms (e.g., gay, transgender).
