Perceptions of belongingness and social support attenuate PTSD symptom severity among firefighters: A multistudy investigation.

Abstract: Firefighters experience high rates of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is imperative to identify malleable factors that protect against the development of PTSD symptoms among this population.
