A systematic review of the application of metaverse technology in entrepreneurship education can help relevant teaching and research personnel better grasp the current development trends, and better utilize cutting-edge technologies to support the development of entrepreneurship education in teaching and practice. Therefore, this review aims to review the latest trends and research with the question "What issues can metaverse technology be applied in entrepreneurship education?". This system review adopts Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses (PRISMA) , and collects data based on two core journal databases, Scopus and Web of Science, while using Note Express and Mendeley as supporting databases. A total of 27 articles were identified through a systematic search of ("metaverse*" OR "cyberspace*" OR "metaverse technology*") AND ("entrepreneurship education*" OR "enterprise education*" OR "entrepreneurial education*"). The results shown that metaverse related technologies are changing entrepreneurial intentions, make it easier for entrepreneurs to access entrepreneurial resources, and improving the efficiency of entrepreneurship education. The exploration of these issues also lays the foundation for subsequent researchers to study how to apply cutting-edge technologies to entrepreneurship education.

The purpose of this paper is to understand the role of metaverse in libraries and librarians. The new conceptions; such as virtual reality, augmented reality, second life, metaverse, metamodernism, metaliteracy, and metalibrarian, have been discussed in the context of real-world libraries and librarians in the article. The organization of the article has been divided into four sections, which are interconnected with libraries and librarians. The first section starts with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies and underlines the important roles of the library and librarians. The second section continues the Second Life (SL), which is the pre-period of metaverse, and points out the importance of librarians and libraries. Finally, the fourth and last section focuses on the metaverse, as it is a new contradictory concept in the digital age, and discusses the metamodernism within the metaverse age by providing new roles and tasks for both libraries and librarians, which will be called “metalibrarian” thereafter. A systematic literature review has been used to position the role of metalibrarians among the other target groups such as educators, communicators, designers, et al. at the metamodernism age. As the existing literature indicates that metalibrarians have heavy duties on their shoulders to both design curricula for the metalibrary users, and manage information resources. Research has been proposed on the new roles, tasks, responsibilities, and competencies for metalibrarians to embrace the metaverse environment.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present an alternative platform, namely the Metaverse, to enhance and revolutionize the concept of living library experiences. The fourth industrial revolution has disseminated many innovative human experiences since the rapid development of modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, virtual/augmented realities, blockchain, cloud computing and so on. Various combinations of these technologies have triggered newer tools and platforms for human beings. One of these combinations, perhaps the most unique and holistic case, is the Metaverse, which promises to offer immersive experiences for users. Many stakeholders have been discussing alternative applications of Metaverse platforms, and many developers have attempted to optimize this new technology. Libraries, as the central hub of human intellectuality, will not be an exception to Metaverse integration. Design/methodology/approach The authors undertook a meticulous examination of an extensive array of scholarly works across various databases to construct a comprehensive literature review. This exhaustive exploration encompassed databases spanning disciplines such as education, psychology, sociology, economics, ICT and so on, and included renowned platforms like PubMed, Scopus, and IEEE Xplore, among others. Findings In this paper, the authors concentrate on an alternative form of libraries: “living libraries,” where people share their experiences, knowledge and wisdom with others like a living book. Moreover, the authors discuss how the Metaverse and living libraries intersect and create an alternative sharing platform. The paper presents several illustrative scenarios for diffusing living libraries into Metaverse platforms. Finally, the paper articulates the possible challenges that this intersection may present to the current condition. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of the first papers combining two innovative concepts: Metaverse and living library and suggests alternative scenarios for real-life experiences.
