Background:aging population is a global challenging issue with reference to health care professionals. Nurses are considered as the frontline of care in the health system. Moreover, todays nursing students are tomorrow's health professionals. Hereafter, the existing study aim was to investigate the predictors of willingness to nurse elderly people among nursing students in Zagazig University, Egypt. Setting: The existent study was conducted in faculty of nursing Zagazig University, Egypt. Design: A cross-sectional descriptive design used to fulfill the aim. Subjects: Stratified sampling technique was applied to recruit 366 nursing students from the fife grades in faculty of nursing Zagazig University. Tools of data collection: A self-administered questionnaire composed of three tools was used; students' personal data& knowledge regarding aging; attitude toward elderly; and willingness to take care of elderly. Results: From the 366 nursing student 83.9% were females, 42.9% and 55.7% lived with or cared for elderly persons respectively. Entirely, 73.2% were knowledgeable about aging, and 51.9% held negative attitude toward elderly. Meanwhile, 52.5% were not enthusiastic to nurse elderly people in the future. Conclusion: Knowledge about aging nurture positive attitude towards elderly and attitude in turn improves nursing students' willingness to nurse elderly people. Recommendations: Encourage nursing students to accept the elderly care as a prospect career choice.
