Pengujian Senyawa C-Sinamalkaliks[4]Resorsinarena Hasil Sintesis Dari Limbah Minyak Kayu Manis (Cinnamomum Burmanii) Sebagai Antioksidan

Abstract

The compound C-Sinamakaliks [4]resorcinarene is the result of the reaction of cinnamaldehyde and resorcinol compounds derived from cinnamon oil waste which has four alkenyl groups, eight hydroxyl groups, and twelve benzene residues so that it can be used as an antioxidant because it has an OH group.The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity and IC 50 value of the compound C-Sinamalkaliks[4]resorcinarene using the DPPH method and the ABTS method. The results of testing the antioxidant activity of the DPPH method at a wavelength of 514 nm showed that the compound C-Sinamalkalix[4]resorcinarene had moderate antioxidant activity with an IC 50 value of 161.1750 ppm while the ABTS method at a wavelength of 750 nm indicates that the compound C-Sinamalkaliks[4]resorcinarene has a very strong category of antioxidant activity with a value of IC 50 value 2.9661 ppm.
