The aim of this study is to detect calcification of syrinx and determination its appearance in four ages of groups of laying hens is a kind red. Using special dyes to detect deposits of calcium salts as well as using immunohistochemistry method, showing that the calcification of the syrinx at the age of 6 months appeared as small calcified foci in the middle part of it only, while part of the tracheal and bronchial of the syrinx did not get in it any calcification. At the age of 18 months, syrinx appeared many calcified foci in the middle part, as well as the emergence of calcification is simple for the first time in the upper part (tracheosyringeal) cartilage of it. With age progress, the syrinx appears fully calcified in the middle part (pessulus) of it, as well as the emergence of calcified spots for the first time in the first three cartilaginous rings of the brochosyringeal cartilage from him.

The presence of both larynx and syrinx in the respiratory system, the trachea consisting of long and complete cartilage rings, and the presence of air sacs are some of the important features that distinguish birds from mammals. There have been many studies on the larynx, trachea and syrinx as they are the distinguishing features of song and bird vocalizations in many avian species. In the present study, the purpose was to demonstrate the morphological structures of the larynx, trachea and the syrinx, which is a sound organ, pigeon, sparrowhawk, falcon, eagle, goose, crow anda stork. A total of 48 specimens, were used in the study. The materials were stained with methylene blue for better observation and counting of the tracheal rings. For this purpose, the materials were first kept in 70% alcohol for two hours, washed with distilled water, kept in 0.1% methylene blue solution for 15 minutes and then kept in 50% and 70% alcohol solutions for one hour each. The arrangement and number of papillae in the mons laryngealis were found to be different in the species studied. It was observed that the tracheal cartilages were a complete ring in all study species, but there were differences in tracheal length, number of cartilages and dorsoventral flattening. Syrinx was found to be tracheal type in storks and tracheobronchial type in others. As a result, the similarities and differences of the data obtained from pigeon, falcon, sparrowhawk, eagle, crow, goose and stork on larynx, trachea and syrinx due to different hunting, singing and vocal characteristics were revealed.

The purpose of the present study is to examine and compare the trachea and larynx caudalis of budgerigars and canaries in a macroanatomic manner. 18 canaries and 29 budgerigars that were collected as dead from the clinics of the surrounding area were used in this study. The number of cartilago trachea was 46-47 in canaries; and 53-61 in budgerigars. Crossman's Triple Staining Method was used for histological examinations. 0.1% methylene blue solution was used to examine in a stereo microscope. Tracheobronchial-type syrinx was observed in both species. In canaries last 4-5 trachea rings were joined together to form the tympanum. It was observed that in all species the trachea rings were full. The ligamentum annulare and musculus trachealis were not observed in both species. While pessulus and tympanum were observed in canaries, they were not detected in budgerigars. Musculi syringeales was detected in budgerigars in an extremely developed structure. Cartilagines bronchosyringeales formed the last part of the syrinx; and it consisted 8-9 cartilages in canaries and 6-7 cartilages in budgerigars.
